2106 fresh water tank .

For many moons our fresh water pump would start sucking air after using only fourteen gallons , we lived with that knowledge and learned to carry extra water in the truck .
I am considering putting a Dexter torsion lift kit to raise the trailer 3 inches or so .I went under to look at the axles and discovered that my fresh tank had very little support and had a very large " belly " hanging down about four inches . All the water was in the belly and the pickup was over in the corner.
Went to Tractor Supply and bought two pcs , inch and half by quarter straps and supported the tanks . Got lots of water know !
As you all know many TTs need more support for tanks , have a look at yours and report back !

Ya mean like this? This happened twice and repaired twice by the dealer. Took my TT to an independent repair shop and two 1.5" angle irons was installed to prevent further issues.

This problem is such a piss off and so unnecessary...My last trailer had this issue(Rockwood Roo) and now my new trailer(2020 Micro Minnie) appears to have this problem...pathetic structural support for the water tank! I mean how hard is it for an engineer working for ANY RV manufacturer to design adequate support for a 300lb or heavier loaded water tank??? My last trailer, I just half-assed solved the problem with heavy duty ratchet straps going from a frame member to another frame member under the tank. On my new Micro, because of the enclosed under belly, I will need to open that all up to deal with the issue. I can solve the problem properly with addition steel angle iron or even welding a proper frame to install around the tank as I have the equipment and knowledge...but the fact that I have to do this after spending a small fortune on a new trailer is disgusting.

Winnebago is not the only manufacturer who does this. Here is a good pic of a Coachman Freedom Express that has the same problem, and the guys solution.

Unsupported water tank

Additional fix to the fix

Sorry you will have to click each link, I am unable to embed the pics. Its a google photo album worth scrolling thru all the pics the guy has posted. Fixed it but will leave the links. visit his photo album, good info.
