Winnebago View Power door locks

Hi, A friend of mine has a 2010 or 11 Class C View with a remote to lock and unlock the doors. The driver door works but not the passenger and coach doors. Any idea what system is used? Does it output different signals to each door? How is it reprogrammed? Ever had a similar problem?
Sorry if this was covered already... And thanks in advance!!

If passenger door is not completely shut, then the passenger door will not lock. If the passenger door does not lock then the coach door will not lock. If the drivers door is not completely shut then none of the doors will lock.

This may not be your problem, but it happened to me once.

Dale

Can't speak to the passenger cab door. Yes... all doors have to be shut completely. Mine takes two key fob punches on mine to lock the cab doors and the coach door.

Can speak to the coach door not locking....

On the inside, leading edge of the door frame on the coach there are two brass buttons. Opposite them, on the hinge side of the door are two brass buttons. They are the 'contacts' for the door locking solenoid inside the door. Solenoid is located under the small cover plate.

If the coach door is not locking/unlocking with a punch of the key fob, the first place to check is those brass contacts. They work like plungers and slide in an out as the door is opened or closed.

One or both are not making clean firm contact with their partners in the frame.

Carefully remove the screws and pull the contacts & plate off the door..... REMEMBER TO MARK IT for UP or DOWN so you can put it back in the same orientation. (Don't ask....) Disconnect the wires (REMEMBER ALSO TO MARK THE WIRE CONNECTION ORIENTATION!!! (DON'T ASK!!!)

The brass 'bullets' are spring loaded and adjustable with a small screw & nut. Just re-adjust so that they extend a bit farther and make firm contact. Buff off the ends on both sets for good measure.

Reinstall all the bits making sure you have the wires and contacts in the original orientation.

Takes about 30-45 minutes.... and no trips to Home Depot, Lowes or Ace hardware....

Also.... don't ask how I know this.....

the contact button on the coach door may not be contacting. Open the coach door (house door not truck door), use some steel wool to shine up both contact points-1 in the door frame-the other on the door itself-

Retry

Based on post #2 the lock signal is wired to the doors in series... The signal is sent to the driver door and goes thru the contacts (if the door is closed and contacts are clean); the signal then goes on to the passenger side and there again if door is closed and contacts are clean the signal can go through to the coach door.
That's valuable info. I will check and clean all the contacts tomorrow and let you know. Will also make sure he does not need 2 clicks on the FOB.

Ok, it turns out it is a 2014. My friend called the selling dealer about the issue and it turns out it needs a modification which includes some re-wiring and the addition of some solenoid switches.

IN short explanation, the coach door lock system is overloading the Mercedes Benz power door lock system, and burning out the right door module of Mercedes, once this happens both right door and coach door ceases to operate.
