What are these wires for.

I was adding water to the house batteries and was wondering what these unconnected wires are for?

All the wiring inside my 2008 was yellow. It was a spaghetti mess, but each wire was labeled as to where it goes. May be that there are some labels on those wires??

Greetings Knight Ryder,
This post shows those same four wires, but here they are hooked-up:
https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/f265/lithium-lifepo4-upgrade-2020-21-navion-or-view-357568-4.html#post3885365
Three yellow & one white. Maybe you could send a message to Crah and have him tell you more about them?
Welcome to the forum.

If you would include the year, model and floor plan designation for your RV in your request it would be much easier to answer your questions. We pretty much need that info every time someone asks for help or advice.

In the Winnebago world yellow wires are positive 12v wires.

Sorry about that. It's a 2022 Navion 24V.

A good point to know on Winnebago wiring is that they label the wiring they add as a two or three digit code stamped at the end of a long string of info on the wire edges.

So if these are Winn wires, one might expect to find the code and decode it using this chart:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ical_guide.pdf

But as a warning, there are often wires that are not considered Winnebago wiring but add-on by builders of some parts. So these wires may/may not be labeled.
Maybe not usefull now but keep in mind for later?

While about it and looking for info, there are some other handy points that we often overlook and they can help us sort things a whole bunch.

On the wiring info here:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/File...ram/Wiring.htm

Down in the lower left corner there are notes that are often skipped but they can be very helpful.

These three items are worth checking for info.

One of the small bits in that info is this chart of battery cable ID!

So looking at the picture posted by OP, you can see several different colors of tape at the cable ends and those colors can actually tell us which cable we are looking at and help sort where to find the other end!

Like any info we get, it always pays to verify that it is correct as things do change but if you find it correct, it can be way better than guessing!

I knew that step looked familiar to. We have the 2021 24V but I'm shocked to hear you say adding water to your coach batteries. Didn't know they were using a wet battery in View / Navion units. Our coach came with the AGM style. As for the four control wires we don't have these in our coach.

I'd would be interested to learn what the intended use is for.

It looks like they were going through some changes on this RV and optional feature 22N seems to change the battery type .

Morich/Richard, just a quick note to say thanks for your posts regarding wiring diagrams and navigating the Winnie web site. I save a lot of your answers with charts because they are so helpful, and even if they don't apply to me directly, they're food for thought and might just help out sometime.

Thanks for the comment.
Sometimes I'm not sure what they are trying to tell us on some of those details other than they seem to show something different, even if they don't spell out WHAT that difference was on each move!

Thank you TowerRat!
Of course, when I first saw the subject line on this Thread, I thought the answer was:
"What are the most common last words found on a Flight Recorder?"
Ha-ha?
Thanks, Eagle5
