View slide roller problem

Two of the four screws that holds the roller bracket have pulled out and the slide has dropped down and is sliding on metal. Several questions on this issue. This is the rear slide. (1) would it be ok to use a hydraulic jack to take the weight off the roller bracket and attempt to replace the screws? (2) How thick is the wood on the back that holds the roller bracket. (3)Is it a bad idea to think about drilling holes thru the back and using screws with a nut to reattach the bracket.

Hi, Welcome,

I moved your post out of the "Forum Admin | News" forum into it's own thread. I put it in the Class C forum because I can see in your Profile you have a Winnebago View.

However, you haven't put the year or floor plan designation in your Profile so, we need to know more info from you. Please get back to us with this info. We have a lot of View owners and hopefully someone will be able to help you with your question.

What year and model is your rig? Put a board under the slide to distribute the weight of the jack. Call Winnebago and they will advise.

We have a 2017 24G View The rear slide has dropped down about 1 inch on the left side and rubbing metal on metal.

Hi, just an FYI since you had multiple threads going on the exact same subject I merged them all together - just in case you're wondering where the other thread went.
