Vehicle Height

I have a 2014 Winn View. The spec sheet says that the height is 11’ 3’’. Can anyone confirm this? I’m assuming that spec includes the roof top AC unit. Thanks.

Regardless of what the specs say, your best bet is to measure yourself. I measured from the side down to the ground then on the roof found what was tallest and measured from the roof surface to the top of that object. For good measure I add 6 inches when looking at clearances.

Thom,
Excellent advice! My rig is stored some distance away. I was just hoping I could find someone who had already done the actual measurement.

Thx!

And just as a second line of thinking, we have an antenna sticking up on the very front which is higher than anything else. On most highways, there are enough big trucks whizzing by that I know I'm good but on those off the map roads, I creep up on it and listen for the antenna as I creep on through. Drives the folks behind a bit crazy but most appear to understand the problem.
The tricky ones are those with the arched roof so that it is way short at the edges.

I did exactly as ThomB did, including the additional 6". For my Minnie Winnie the A/C shroud was the tallest object on the roof.

I then made a label to stick on the dashboard to indicate the clearance height in both standard and metric measurements since we sometimes travel through Canada.

I have a 2013 View 24V. I used a 2x4 extending from the top of the A/C out one side, with a level, then measured from the bottom of the 2x4 down to the pavement, and came up with 11’1”. My front tires are on 3” blocks to keep it level where I store it, so there is a little fudge factor in there.
