Yep, read that link posted above! Your phone is simply a wi-fi hotspot when you turn that function on. The issue is the "unlimited" data plans usually hit a wall on speed at some preset number depending on your carrier, say 15gig of data use. We travel with two phones and one tablet connected to Verizon, each can be a wi-fi hotspot with those limits. We use the Roku and Youtube TV, very pleased with the combo. We don't watch TV a lot in the RV but don't forget you have an antenna and amp for locals which helps keep your data usage down with the ROKU.
