Toll Tag Placement on Class C Windshield
I thought to pose this question because of the cab overhang that Class C RVs have. Normally I would put the toll tag behind the rear view mirror at the top of the windshield. However, it seems like the cab overhang may block the toll booth readers. I'm thinking it may be better to mount the tag at the bottom of the windshield instead. Just curious to see what others have done??

You are correct in that spot being blocked from the overhead cameras I think of. Our solution was down low near center of windshield but we rarely used it due to high cost/ low benefit on the local highways.

Thanks for the confirmation - at the bottom of the windshield it goes.
I too will try to avoid tollways in my upcoming RV adventures - preferring country highways that hit little towns along the way. However, going through the bigger cities (at least here in Texas), it's sometimes the most practical option due to traffic, routing, etc.

We have a Tesla S and X. Because of windshield coating, we purchased license plate toll tags that bolt onto the top of the front license plate.
Had planned to get that for our 2021 View, however you have to buy those at an EZ Tag store (in the Houston area), and those stores are still closed due to COVID.
When our windshield tag arrives, looks like I'll be mounting it on the lower windshield, based on the comments above...
Has anyone confirmed that a toll tag DOESN'T work when mounted high on the windshield in a 2020/21 View or Navion???

Ours is mounted at the top of the windshield on our 2018 View and it works fine. Not sure about a 20/21, however.

I'm wondering if there may be some differences in what type of Class C you own. In my case, I have the Minnie Winnie 22R, which has a different design than the View. The overhang that Winnebago designed for the Sprinter cutaways (View, Vita, Porto, etc.) is different than the Minnie Winnie models. From looking at a picture of the View, it seems like that might be okay - as noted above. On the Minnie Winnie the overhang is more significant on the E-350/450, and can see where it would probably block the line of sight.

Recently installed and used a sticker for Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Was told to place it in center of windshield 5” up from bottom. Seemed to work well.

We were advised by the issuer to put it low, just above the dash and on center. Never had any problems with it there.

Toll tag
On my 2016 View I removed the plastic cover for the rain sensor at the top center of the windshield and fit the tag inside. It’s been working fine for 2 years.

I just put the transponder in a small recession on the passenger side dash board. It works okay from there. It's also a paper weight for my gasoline receipts.

I would not eliminate or reduce benefit of interstate in help getting to u faster than on a secondary road. As a 72 yo, we think about those type of issues.
