Storage Tube on 2020 View 24J

I am setting my new View up for it's maidan voyage. I have bought a Rhino sewage hose and I am trying to keep it separate from everything else. Looking on YouTube I came across a "storage tube" which just looks like a pvc pipe with two ends on it. Is there any particular place on the View that something like this concept can be mounted? Better yet does anyone have a better idea? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Coil it up and put it in a heavy duty trash bag with ties to close the bag, to keep it separate from other stuff. Then store it in the forward driver side external storage compartment, near the dump plumbing.

If you join the View/Navion owners group on FB, there are several posts from people who have added storage tubes underneath. It’s a great forum and much more active than this group!

Do I remember that orange fitting being snapped on and comes off pretty easy? Might check how easy it might drop off while on the road?
Or am I just confused again?

Good question.......the hose adapter is like screwed and glued to the hose and if it did ever come loose there is a flange on it which would prevent it from falling. thanks

I think we have the same hose and my orange end comes off the white elbow really easy if it gets turned. It makes it easy to screw the orange fitting into any threaded sewer hookup but it would also go missing really easy ------if we have the same?

Coming from owning other RVs, I was surprised that there wasn't storage on the 2020 Navion/Views as well. I have the same hose and fittings you reference and found a low profile plastic tub with a well fit cover to store and transport the stinky slinky. I store the tub inside the outside storage compartment, driver side behind the LP tank.

I don't get too touchy about where I store the drain hose and do leave it in the same compartment where the freshwater input is located, but then part of that lack of care is due to the black and grey drains are also in that compartment, so I give little thought to storing it somewhere else if it is brought there for use.
The fresh water hose, I do store in a different compartment after screwing the ends together to keep bugs and debris out of the hose but that is more due to lack of space than anything.
I do make a firm habit of washing well after I do the drain job.

Not sure on the other floor plans but the 2020 24D doesn't have room undercarriage storage across the entire RV. I installed mine at the back bumper next to the chassis skid guard. I refused an existing hole at the bumper where the fiberglass attaches to the metal, and had to drill 1 new hole. On the other end, it is zip tied with stainless steel zip ties to the steel structure.

What level jacks do you have? I have the Mor ride stabilizer jacks that run across the rear of my 2020 Navion which interferes with the prospect of installing a tube as you have in the pictures above.

If you remove the 90 degree elbow and store that in a large zip bag, then you can take the rhino hose and just connect the male and female ends together, making an airtight and watertight seal. You can collapse it down before you rotate and lock the ends together, once you lock it the air is trapped and you can't collapse it down anymore unless there is a leak or bad seal gasket.

I have the factory equalizer hydraulic leveling jacks. Well worth the upgrade.

Yes if you have the electric stabilizing jacks, that would be in the way. These are not installed when the hydraulic leveling option is added.

To answer your question of the cone shaped part possibility of falling off, you put the cone part on the hose and then turn it on the hose to lock it in place. Once locked it isn't going anywhere.

storage of sewer hose

I have added a plastic container from Walmart and put it between the compartment for power and water and the back of the motor home. I have installed these sewer compartments on 2 views and a pleasure way van. You can screw the plastic storage container up underneath, cut the side out of it, put a 15 ft sewer hose along with the connections into it, and run a bungee strap to keep it in. Your sewer hose is easy to get to and completely away from everything and sanitary.

ID:	173982I suggest you just get Camco covers for the tube and store it in one of the outside bins that is convenient. Works fine for me in our 18ND.

Used to use pvc pipes both to carry on board as well as support for hose at the site...I split 1 in half for the support. Worked super especially since I was addressed at 1 place for 4 yrs. Now I put all sewer stuff in a large plastic bin from Home Depot. Its always such crappy job when it's time to stow. With the bin I just rinse the inside of the sewer hose and place in bin
Let us know if u figure out something different

My hose storage

I used a square 5" PVC fencepost and caps with PVC rain gutter inside for slide access storage. I hung the storage container underneath the chassis by heavy aluminum strapping, aluminum angle and stainless steel bolts. Access end cap is held in place with bungee cord. End caps are drilled on the bottom for water drainage and ventilation.

You can contact me for more information via personal message.
