When you say "dead in the afternoon", do you mean that the slide just didn't work or that your battery is dead?

If you have a "battery boost" or "Aux" switch to connect the house and chassis batteries, I'd try the slide while pushing it just to see if you're looking at a battery power problem.

Hopefully, someone with a similar rig will chime in with ideas soon.

Best of luck.

Rick

On ours the slide will not work if it does not see a certain voltage from the chassis battery. Try running the engine. Also you might try resetting the parking brake.
Does your slide have a power lock and is it unlocked? There is a micro switch on them that will prevent the slide from moving.

adding to previous comments:
as well as the pb being set, make sure the tranny is in park. you may have to wiggle the lever. you might try neutral also.
what kind of slide actuation do you have, electric or hydraulic?

Is this a hydraulic system or electric motor? Mine is hydraulic and I have to turn on the switch at the leveler control panel to get power to the hydraulic system and the slide switch. Just thinking maybe you forgot to do that.
