Slide’s don’t work on battery power

Have a 2019 Aspect 30J w under 15k miles

How do I get slides to work on battery power?
Slides only work when motor is running.
What am I missing?

Please:
Your insights are appreciated.
Thank you

What does your manual say? I suspect that it's by design. My DP slides will not move unless the key is in at least the 'on' position. Winnebago says the engine must be running (provides better power for moving the slides). Ditto the levelers.

Any large, heavy currrent draw like motors will work much better and last longer if they are given good power. One way to get that good power is to use the engine alternator and when the engine is running both the coach and chassis batteries are connected to that alternator, giving the very best chance of the best operation.

Batteries, by nature, are prone to being less than the best power, so using them when the engine is right there would just not be a good idea.
