Setting Up TV? 2020 Navion 24D

Hi
We just purchased a used 2020 Navion 24D. Can’t get the TV to cooperate, first no signal, so we unplugged and then started again, no signal on any HDMI channels. Also found the little tv on button in the cabinet behind the tv, now saying no channels present. We can’t set it up at all……
Help please

First off welcome to the group.

I will talk in general terms as your connection may be a bit different. You have a coax connection from your tv to a plate on the wall. That plate should have a connection for the coax plus a small button for power to antenna. To get the tv to work the power button has to be "on" to provide power to the antenna. If button is on turn tv on and rescan for ota channels. Not sure but if all you have is HDMI should work about the same.

Ok you have done that and still nothing, I would get a sepperate coax attach to the connection on the wall and to the tv. Buy doing this you have by passed any splitter be involved Once done with that rescan tv for ota and see what you get.

If still nothing I would unscrew the wall plate and make sure the coax connections at the back of the plate are tight.

Good Luck

My Vita has to have that button pushed (antenna enabled), the TV set to antenna, and then have it do a scan of the digital channels and THEN I can select a station. Hardly worth the effort. I just have an AppleTV attached via HDMI to the TV and stream via 5G or camp wireless.

As previously mentioned, you must have the button for the antenna amplifier turned on - as indicated by the green light - but you also need to point the antenna in the direction of local stations. There are websites and apps that will tell you what compass bearing to use from your location. You can use the compass app on your phone for reference.

If you haven't already, check all of the coax connections, including at the antenna to make sure they're clean and tight. Make sure that the antenna/cable switch is in the correct position. The TV may have an input selector in the setup, so check that it's configured properly. If you have the owner's manuals, check them for setup and use instructions.

I'm pretty sure the Navion has the same TV setup as my Vita and thus the only way to orient the antenna is by changing which way the RV itself is pointed, but since it's omnidirectional which way's which? From the manual:

Your motorhome is featured with an omnidirectional digital antenna, which provides crystal clear digital HD reception of over-the-air channels in addition to superior broad reception range.
The digital antenna is equipped with a built-in amplifier for maximum VHF and UHF programming.

I wondered it the antenna might be different than the traditional "bat wing", but I couldn't find any roof images online to confirm that. Unfortunately, it seems that the "omnidirectional" antennas don't work as well as the older directional antennas.

We have a 2020 Navion 24V, the twin of the View 24V. Yes, it has an omnidirectional antenna that can't be turned. We have had no problem with our OEM TV or antenna and can watch different channels on each TV when we follow the instructions given above. Since we never stay anywhere with cable and have no satellite dish, we just leave the antenna on all the time. We do have to reprogram the channels every time we move, although it's not all that time-consuming.

I did replace the OEM TV in the "bedroom" with a 12v TV that I took out of our fifth wheel when we sold it. Using a 12v extension cord, we can plug it into the 12v "cigarette lighter" outlet above the head of the bed. So, with our added solar panels and lithium batteries, we can watch TV even when we are dry camping at Flying J or boondocking in a no-campground Colorado state wildlife area. Well, we can as long as there are OTA TV stations within range, which isn't always the case in far western Colorado.
