Scissor Jack Stabilizers

I purchased a used 2019 27D Outlook with two slides which came with 6 detached scissor jack stabilizers.

I have leveled the rig successfully with the Level Mate Pro and Lynx leveling blocks. I did notice some bounce at night when my dogs move around the coach. I assume those jacks were used by the previous owner to cut down on bounce. Should I be using them again and how should I use them - have them bolted and where? I read that they could do damage to the slides. I could use some direction.

If your rear bumper is strong enough, I would start at the corners there first.

The best approach for those type stabilizers is to have them make contact with the frame, or something solid that is attached to the frame, which may require you to get up under the rig a bit. Open them until snug, but not beyond. Do not attempt to do any leveling - even a little - with them. Do not put them under the slides. As spyder152 indicated, try to get them on the 4 corners. PM me if you want more detail. A long time ago in a land far away I had a pop-up with scissor jacks... As for having them bolted on, I couldn't say without more detail.

I just got two scissor jacks bolted onto our 31' Minnie. We are trying it out this weekend.

They bolted them to the frame in the back just in front of the bumper near where the spare tire is located. There wasn't a great place to bolt two more up front because they told us if most likely they would get torn off or at least hit it on a speed bump. So we have two of the jack stand looking stabilizers that we will snug up in the front just behind the front wheels under the frame. I have to place those manually each time, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I will report back on Monday how well this helped the bounce when parked.

OK, we tried it out this weekend with the stabilizer jacks. I think it made some difference but not a great amount. I am not sure how much to tighten them up so maybe I didn't tighten them enough. So the jury is still out for me on them.
