I use Blue Coral wash and wax to clean my roof -- usually in the Spring, Summer, and the Fall. I know that sounds like overkill but, it is not hard to do and it does keep the roof clean and the washing solution has Carnauba wax in it which polishes the roof at the same time --- thus protecting it some from UV damage.

If you don't park under some pretty nasty dripping trees and such, washing your roof, once in a while, using any sort of automotive / fiberglass cleaner, to keep the white streaks off the walls is all that is necessary.
Many folks wax with all sorts of products, and swear by them. But unless you are doing it very often, short of some sort of thick, UV protection coating sprayed on, you won't do much to really protect the roof from the sun.
Just my opinion of course. I only have about 13 years of Winnebago roof experience and 50 years watching various exterior marine and other fiberglass surfaces, so I am sure others have more knowledge than me. But that nice shiny white roof makes me feel good.

I have my fiberglass roof waxed with marine wax once a year, lasts about that in my part of the country, twice a year for others. Marine wax because boats sit in the sun and harsh salt air..... I have it done by my mobile RV washer so don't know the brand.

I too grew up in Sunny South Florida matter-of-fact ran long line boat out of pompano Florida for a Time and out of Black River Jamaica I agree that Marine fiberglass wax is good stuff but the fact is for me anyway nu finish does a better job and it's much easier and it lasts about a year if you apply two coats. When cleaning the longline boat I use the combination of bleach and Pine-Sol was excellent I don't think that's necessary on your RV glass unless you've got a lot of mold issues
