Assuming (I think this is correct) that all Winnie's have a fiberglass roof. I cleaned mine good then got some cutter/wax from a boat store (fine grit) and buffed the roof surface where it's unpainted (we have fullbody paint and that wraps up over the roof). This will keep down the amount of oxidization and streaking down the sides of the rv. I believe there are some coatings that you can use that may be easier, but this was the method I used.
The one thing that I didn't do the first year that I owned our rv was the caulking in the rail where the roof meets the sides. After learning about what needed to be done it was tops on my list (and should be done 2x per year I guess). It's what keeps the roof securely in place. You may want to look that up since you'll be up there for any other work.
