Just bought Vita last Thursday. Drove her home 300 miles. Beautiful rig. My wife opened the drawer below the refrigerator and heard something fall and couldn’t close the drawer. After removing the drawer I found the white plastic condensate container that fell off the back of the Danny refrigerator. It holds the condensate until it’s evaporates above the compressor. There is no access panel to the refrigerator. I removed the four screws on the brackets that hold it in place and raised the legs all the way up and tried to slide the unit out. Nope. It will not budge. The top two corners are slid into an L-shape bracket on each side. But it will not budge. Help!! Please.
I suspect access to the rear of the fridge is through the outside storage compartment located to the rear of the fridge. If your unit has one there, as seen in this demo video. It might also be accessible from the headboard area of the bed, based on the floor plan diagram.
I had my Danby refrigerator die one week after buying motorhome. The dealer said 2 months till I could get it in. (unacceptable service). So I cut a panel behind refrigerator in storage compartment and made a new door so that access could be had without removing the refrigerator for service. The refrigerator had a bad start/fuse. Replaced with new one and been fine ever since. Make the panel opening same width as refrigerator. My new panel covering is screw in for easy service.
Thanks. That has crossed my mind. I’m waiting for the dealer to get back with me. He was very polite and courteous and said he would get back before days end on a resolution.
If you are agile, You could pull bottom drawer out and crawl inside and put it back...not easy. Otherwise they will have to pull refrigerator. If they want to cut access hole that would be great.
That drawer space is something my 200lb butt could fit in. . I finally got the fridge out tonight and replaced the tray. It is actually held in place with the two brackets one on each top corner and have a STRONG adhesive applied!! Break the seal loose and then, raise the legs up, remove the four screws on the bottom and shimmy it out.
