Option for 24D paper towel holder

Our 2021 Navion 24D has a paper towel holder that is supposed to hold the roll behind the television. It is not usable as the holder consists of a section of aluminum tubing that is supposed to be hammered into place with two holder on each end. Towel holders that I have looked at all entail mounting at the center of the holder which is not going to work and probably why the people at Winnebago punted and provided what they did.

Any information on what others have installed would be appreciated.

After quite a bit of searching I found a 12" spring loaded paper towel holder at woodpeckercrafts.com that works like the ones used for toilet paper holders. Cost was $1.79 so something that Winnebago could have afforded to provide for its customers without killing its profit margin.

You should tell Winnebago folks about your find. They might make a design change.

The paper towel holder and the towel bar inside the shower (in the skylight) have the same problem - they are metal tubes that are difficult to add and remove.

The skylight bar had a rough edge on one side - and was easier to add/remove after the rough edge was smoothed out.

Another option to consider would be to get PVC tubing of the same diameter cut to the same length as the metal tubes and try using that instead. PVC tubing is lighter and should be easier to add/remove from the brackets - and replace, if needed...

Part of the problem was that the yahoo at Winnebago installed the paper towel bar holders on their side. I still prefer the spring rod that I bought at Woodpeckercrafts but for others the unscrewing of the holders and rotating them so the rod goes in on the vertical would be an improvement.
