Opinions of a 2022 Minnie Winnie 31K?

Thinking of buying one of these. Wondering how owners feel about them - what problems have you encountered? How is the ride, any suspension upgrades recommended? Any water leaks? How is the E450 chassis- powerful enough? Thanks in advance.

Although we don’t have the 31K, we do have the 22M and are very pleased with the performance of the 7.3 Godzilla V-8. Both in power and MPG. The lane departure warnings can be a little annoying, but it can be turned off along with the adaptive cruise control. We’re very pleased with our 2021 model.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new 31K if I were in the market for a new Class C...you'll have plenty of power with the E450 and can easily tow a Honda CRV or similar toad.

A new RV will come with bugs to be worked out..impossible to know ahead of time what they will be. Overall quality is good but there will be problems.

We have a 31D (2017) which we bought new. It helps if you live within a couple of hours of Forest City as we do...took 3 or 4 visits to get everything worked out, mostly warranty work.

The Ford V10 handles very well with the longer house...good wheel base ratio. We have airbags in the rear which help for a smoother ride.

The 31D has 3 slides...no leaks or significant problems. We did just have work done in May in Forest City as one of the slide seals got caught on the gear and had to be replaced. And the slide in the bedroom got off track probably because a small item got in the way when I closed it once or twice. Both repairs were relatively minor.

The side view cameras are one of my favorite features when driving. The right camera went out and was very expensive to fix, but I had to have it.

The 31K is the one I'd go after if/when I buy another WBGO. I just sold my 31C a week ago and as good a rig as it was, the 31K puts it in the shade. Only a ft longer, but you get a longer bed, more counter space, a larger fridge, and the Godzilla engine. That new Comfort Plus couch bed looks like a winner too. As mentioned above, the 220" wheelbase helps driveability; however, the PO of my rig installed Helwigs front and rear, a Steer Safe and Bilsteins and I added the adjustable bushings to get 5 degrees positive castor. Rig drove just fine and rode very, very well......but with lotsa noise with the V10 of course. Think you are gonna love the 31K (scarce as "hens teeth" and the folks at Lichtsinn tell me the problem is that WBGO can't get nearly enough of the Ford cutaway chassis ..... hope that gets fixed soon.)

Good times and safe travels to ya.

We ordered a 2022 26T. I would recommend that YOU do a compleate predelivery inspection before signing on the dotted line. I mean everything from opening windows and vents to the leveling system. Again don't accept the coach until everything is repaired. Good luck

After several trips and 11000 miles we are very pleased with our 31K .The new Ford V-8 has plenty of power to pull our jeep . The RV handles very well and is a big improvement in cross winds as compared to the Navion Sprinter in traded in. As aways a good dealer check up before delivery would be wise .

2016 31k

We have a 2016 31K and are very pleased with it. Bought used from original owner in 2020, it had 15,500 miles on odo. Now has 29,000 miles. Triton V-10 engine has ample power. Fuel economy is 8-9, depending on speed and load. Pulled a toad last summer on an 8k trip with no problems at all. Plenty of space for wife and me plus Yorkie.

Have installed Koni shocks and steering stabilizer to improve handling. Helped significantly. Vinyl coating on dining seating is peeling and needs re-coverimg. Replaced sofa with recliners to improve seating.

I'd recommend one.

I would hope the seat covering would’ve held up longer. On new rigs they actively market it as an upgrade for the cab seats. I wonder if it’s the same fabric?

I'm sorry, I just don't know. The cover is like a naugahyde; looks somewhat like leather, but the vinyl coating flakes off.

I've heard others talk about the same problem, not only with Winnebagos.

MPG question for your rig.

We are picking up our 2023 31K on 2/10/23, was wondering what MPG you get on the new V-8 Godzilla engine? Thanks in advance!

Although we don’t have the 31K, we do have a 22M. On our trips to Florida we average in the 10.5 range, occasionally hitting 11. That’s keeping it between 62-65. On our travels on more hilly roads, we’re around 9. That Godzilla has a huge amount of torque.
