New Onan 4000 Gen running rough

Just want to share a little info. Just purchased a new 2019 Minnie Winnie 22M in June. We are first time RV people. Never was into camping but just retired, wife and I wanted to see the National Parks. Since day one had issue with starting the generator and when it did it would run rough or stall out, sometimes after running for 30 minutes. Called the dealer and they said couldn’t see me for 3 weeks. NOT what I wanted to hear. Decided to take it to a Cummings Service shop west of Boston. They found dirt and debris sitting in the bowl along with blocked fuel actuator causing the gen to starve for fuel. One hour labor at $153 gen runs like it should. Contacted dealer and they are reimbursing me the $153. All good so far
The only other issue I am having is the side cameras get blurry after ~20 minutes of driving. I know people say they don’t use the cameras or that they are useless but hey, you paid $906 for that option. They should work.
Other than that, everything is working as it should, So far so good

The right-hand mirror-camera on my 22M gets fuzzy after about a half an hour or driving, or so it did. On my latest trip, it remained clear for 1,000 miles of driving. I believe the problem is located in the radio unit. When I was running cabin heat in the colder weather, it would also heat the radio, and the right-hand channel would then get fuzzy. Winnebago knows of the problem, and the recommended diagnosis is to switch the left & right camera inputs on the back of the radio and see if the problem moves to the other side, indicating that the radio is at fault. I will need to take a trip with the cabin heat on (in August; ugh!) to make sure I can generate the fault.

Side cameras

Eagle5, just got back from a weekend trip, paying close attention to side cameras. The right side was fuzzy 15 minutes into the trip and then for the entire trip.
Left side was fine the entire time
When I got back. I swapped just the cameras inside the mirrors..........Wasn’t left the tool by Winnie to pull radio out to swap inputs
I then took it out for a drive and now the left camera was fuzzy and the right camera is sharp
Based on that one would assume I have a bad camera. I will keep checking to see if things change. If not I will have the dealer swap out the camera or maybe just go and purchase one myself

Hi Lance,
That is great to know. I am taking mine up to Roy Robinson next week, so it will be interesting to see if the mechanic there can isolate it, or for that matter, reproduce the problem at all. It still seems like it is heat-related, but who knows?
Thanks, Eagle5

When my right-hand mirror camera was replaced in August, it was replaced with another bad camera. I hope to have both cameras replaced at the end of this month, as both mirror cameras get fuzzy after a half an hour of run time.
