Need Help - 2020 Vita 24P Leaks

Hi All,
We just returned from our maiden voyage (6,000 miles). We had a number of issues with leaks. My husband fixed 4 of them under the bathroom sink - then there was one that he couldn't get to. We had to call a mobile repair (as there were no warranty places anywhere near us) Winnebago wanted us to drive 3 hours, but I finally got them to agree to a mobile guy and they will reimburse us. HOWEVER - driving home, we had some rain - 3 days. Each day, there was quite a bit of water coming out from under the cabinets by the sink / microwave area. Under the sink seemed dry. We just kept putting towels down until we got home. Today, Hubby pulled out the trap door in the cabinet and we see a HOLE in the floor - right over the rear tire. It had def been drilled, so it came like that from the manufacturer. Crazy! So now, not sure where to start. If we bring it to the dealer, they will make sure the leaks are fixed and the hole is plugged, but I'm concerned with mold - I mean, this is brand new. These aren't warranty issues - these are manufacturing issues. Should I start with Winnebago or our dealer?

Did you purchase the unit brand new? A previous owner didn't drill the hole?
I would start with the dealer, and if you get unsatisfactory response, escalate to corporate. I might contact both concurrently, if you are near warranty expiration, to make Winnebago aware of the problems, and that you are also dealing with the POS (point of sale) people.

We bought the unit brand new in August. We called Winnebago and they wanted us to send pictures, so we just did that. Dealer knows of the leaks under the sink, but we just found the hole last night (Plus the rain was while we were driving home, so we didn't know about it prior)

I think you've got the bases covered, then.
Good luck with it.
(never seen a hole in the floor like that - I may go check mine now )

I have read on tehe Vita/Porto Facebook group that the leaks in the bathroom are because they used the clamps for PEX on the rubber hoses that connect to PEX fittings. A standard hose clamp is apparently the fix. My coach has those pex clamps on those hoses. So far I havent experienced the leaks. However I will be watching it. The hole is on my unit also, but it is sealed underneath above the tire. So that hole is probably something normal on our units, but not open to the tire. As for mold just use a solution of Bleach and water and wipe that area clean. you should be fine.

IDK, but kinda looks like a drain hose from a refrigerator? Overflow from fresh water tank, was supposed to exit that hole into the outside! Is that blue pipe exiting somewhere?

In the picture, it looks as tough at some point, something was connected there, as one can see some residual caulking...

Interesting... Thank you for the info. I've requested to join that FB group. That does seem to be the problem with the hoses (although, our pump keeps cycling on, so I feel like there is another leak somewhere that we haven't found yet). I am so glad that you have the hole there also! I was thinking Winnebago was going to say "we have no idea how that got there", but maybe it's a "thing" (although it makes no sense whatsoever) It def wasn't sealed underneath (well it was but looks like they drilled the hole AFTER the seal - the middle pic is from above the tire)

The blue hose must go to the kitchen sink (I'm not sure). The fridge is on the other side. It's actually not caulking - that's the floor that was cut around the hole (and that's where I'm afraid if water got under, it will cause problems in the future). The last 3 days of our trip, it was raining - that's when we noticed how much water came up (it was coming in from above the tire) We didn't have an issue when it rained and we were stationary - just while we were driving. What a mess!

Yes the blue hose goes to the kitchen area. When they sealed mine they just used spray foam and then brushed undercoat on it. If it has a chance to dry out well you should be fine.

Sam0794 - All of the "hose to PEX fitting" connections are potential leaks. Winnebago should know better than to use that type of connection. I suggest that you go to Winnebago's Parts Catalog and look at the water plumbing diagram and parts list to find were all of those types of connections exist on your Vita. You can find the Parts Catalog here: Parts Catalog You need to use the old Microsoft Internet Explorer and load the "3D & 2D Viewers " to use the catalog. It looks to me that you have hose running to your bathroom sink and toilet, and cold side of hot water heater. You should see if you can find where the hose is connected to PEX fittings and at the very least, replace the PEX crimp clamp with a screw type hose clamp and monitor regularly for leaks. You can find more info on this thread: https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/...ks-359882.html

The 24p Vita's all have that hole. I would just foam it and on the underside tape it and seal with a waterproof sealer like red guard or those roof sealers.
