Lichtsinn's website claims the 2020/2021 24D slide out is 36".
When the slide is out - that extra 3 feet makes a HUGE difference in the floor space - and because the slide is along most of the side (except the cab and the bathroom), with the slide out, the 24D is surprisingly roomy for a 25' Class C...
Though you do want to verify you aren't too close to obstructions when letting out the slide...
Nearly everything is shutdown in California thanks to the super spreaders so we have been making additions and modifications for storage, sealed the battery compartment and added Lithionics batteries. Highly recommend replacing the lead acid batteries with the lithium phospate ones that will charge 4 times as fast.
Next week we will be adding 290 more Watts of solar panels to the roof which will require moving one of the badly placed Zamp panel by the installer at Winnebago.
With the very low OCCC we are rethinking how we will be traveling to keep the weight of our cargo load down and this will require having the fresh water tank half empty.
With the extreme shorage of new or used Class C motorhomes we went with the Navion despite its shorcomings which include the electric only fridge and the induction burner and single propane burner cooktop. In normal times I would have bought a RV built on the Ford F-450 cab chassis to gain 4,750 lbs of load capacity and the ability to tow up to 7500 lbs.
The Navion 24D is a good layout for two older folk. The dry bath is fine for people shorter than about 5'11" as there is only a little over 12 inches between the edge of the toilet seat and the wall of the bathroom. For taller people a bathroom layout where the person sitting on the toilet can extend their legs outside the bathroom is important. Found the same to be true with slide-in campers and boats.
