MW 22M Shower Upgrade

Curious if anybody has upgraded the shower on a 22M? We bought ours at the beginning of the summer and are really enjoying it. But like all RVs, we are discovering things we want to change. Not surprisingly the shower pan is pretty flimsy and I was wondering if anybody on here has made modifications? Thanks!

Hi MinnieJon22M,
My 2019 22M shower has a little flex in the floor, but it seems fine. I did replace the Shower Head, which I like much better than the original.

You might check the support under the shower pan. It should be well supported, with just the area under the drain unsupported. If the support under the shower pan is insufficient, I would reinforce that area before replacing the shower enclosure.

MW 22M Shower Upgrade

Thanks for the replies and the suggestions. I will check out the supports under the pan. I also likely will replace the shower head. I'll post any updates!

Let us know what is under shower for support, I attempted to remove access panel and would not come off for me, mi e is fairly solid for a plastic stall, I was wanting to know if it was wood or Styrofoam under it, and check water connections, I installed a oxygenics shower head 100 percent better. Wondering if you guys put a protector on your awning, we got hailed on in South Dakota and put holes in awning where it fits up against roof, 2018 and it was all ready Sun rotten, getting new and want to protect it from Sun, some folks put split 4 inch light pc over it.

We had a leak under ours so I had to pull off the lower panel under the shower to solve the issue. Our pan is NOT, well supported. It’d be easy enough to add some additional wood framing under there, which at some point, I may do.

What I did do was add a solid wood teak shower matt , to disperse my weight more evenly, and keep me out of standing soapy, slippery water. Works well....

Another vote here for the Oxygenetics shower head. Even works well when dry camping without having to upgrade the water pump.
