Is Radio draining battery 2015 View 24G?

We have a 2015 24G View Winnebago Sprinter. We notice when the Mercedes is turned off the radio time and date is displayed. We can turn on the radio by holding down the button, however, if the radio is off and is displaying time & date is it draining the start engine battery? We just noticed that this display was on when we turn off the engine. We got a new engine battery about 4 months ago.

To turn of the display of date and time on radio while engine is off you toggle the Radio power button that is located below the radio. This display would not turn off after getting new battery for the Mercedes,

If I'm understanding your question correctly... generally, the date and time display doesn't use a lot of battery power. But if you are not disconnecting the chassis and house batteries when you store your coach you always run the risk - from the radio and a half dozen other things - to deplete your batteries in a matter of weeks.

When you turn the Chassis and House batteries off for putting the RV in storage then the radio will not display the date/time.

Here's what your Operator's Manual says about this:

If you put the switch under the radio to "Engine" the radio can still work with the engine off because of the accessory delay. When you open the driver's door it should shut off, it should also eventually time out if you don't open the door. If you put the switch in the upper position the radio will work all the time if the house battery switch is on.
Is that what is happening or does the radio stay powered with the switch in the engine position even when the door is opened or the accessory delay has been allowed to time out?

Something else to consider. If I’m going to be parked and not using my ‘19 24D for a few weeks or longer, I pull the battery cable off the stud in the driver’s foot well. I don’t use the useless Infotainment system for anything other than as the SiriusXM connection so I am not concerned with zeroing any presets. Never had a problem starting the system back up and no problem with weak/dead chassis battery despite cold New Hampshire winters.
