Ice Pack on my 22M Mirror Camera makes it Fuzzy

My 2019 22M Minnie Winnie right-hand side camera mirror gets fuzzy. Roy Robinson (Marysville, WA) was able to determine that it was the camera itself to blame, by placing an ice pack on the camera. During the summer months, it has been clear, but in the winter, it was fuzzy. They have ordered a new camera for me. Groovy!

Eagle5, I have the same problem with my right mirror camera on my 22m. Very washed out looking most of the time. Dealer (camping world) will not replace as they say it is dirt causing the problem. Does seem to be better with a lens clean, but after an hour or two all washed out again. Any advice.

Hi Charlemj,
Winnebago is aware of the problem. The Service guy at Roy Robinson in Marysville, Washington took one of those chemical cold packs and iced the camera down for a ½ an hour in order to replicate the problem. The problem must be replicated to authorize the ordering of the $300 replacement camera. A second appointment is required to get the camera replaced, as the service bays do not keep them in stock.
Good luck; Eagle5

Thank you Eagle5 for the quick response!

I will get after the dealer, and may even make them call your guy in Washington. Very very helpful, Best Charlemj

Minnie Winnie 22M side cameras

Well I have been having an issue with my cameras since I bought the RV. They get fuzzy after about a half hour or driving. Similar to everyone else. I brought it back for warranty work to have cameras fixed. They tell me the issue is when the highlights go on the cameras dim. I explained that is not the issue. I don’t use my headlights in the daytime. They then tell me because they couldn’t recreate the issue I have to pay a diagnostic charge of $125. This is crazy. I have never in all my years have had this much issue with a dealership. I have purchased many cars and motorcycles over the years. If any one has had luck with dealing directly with Winnebago on this issue can you give me a contact. I did contact Winnebago before this and they told me since it’s warranty work I need to go to dealer. I am in the run around stage right now

Good luck on that deal and I know the feeling.
I currently have a starting problem with a 2014 focus. It starts like normal when it is warm but not when cool. Cool being not driven for around 6-8 hours and now we find it is okay when driving around central Texas where the nighttime temps are not below 70 but fails to crank when driven to Missouri and in the 50-60 range due to rain cooled air!
My plan is to wait for cold weather but get it fixed before the extended warranty runs out Mar 2021. So far it has been in their care for a total of 14 days!
Wishing you luck but I think we are both in deep dodo!!
