Keep in mind the T-145 are 6V where the T-1275 are 12V.. The tables are not apples to apples. Two of tthe T-1275 are 300 amp/hours where two T-145 is 260 Ahrs.. They fit in the stairs an my 24V. I had a big Super C Gulfstream that had space for four T-145's but not now.

Thanks for saying the obvious! To get an accurate comparison just multiply everything by 2 in the 1275 (says 1255) in his post and you get the real picture. He is probably right the T-145s will probably last longer but they won't deliver as much power. Reports of the T-1275 are not abundant but they are being used heavily in the cart industry, which is their original design intent probably. They should still stand pretty hard use with proper care and I hope at least 5 years life in the V24D. No reason to expect less with Trojans. We all get to thinking about Lithium in current configs but wow, a lot of cash for those things. Now I've just got to get them delivered. Maybe I can find a local place to order them, need to get it done and get on the road.

Oh well, Spoke too soon. Latest trip out 3 days ago, one of the six volt batteries had a cell die. I guess 9 years of use were OK. Replaced with two new 6 volt golf cart batteries from Costco. about $206 out the door after return of core fee.

Add another solar panel, get the dead one replaced and we should be good to go. Lovely. Note to self, lose 20 lbs, dump some more stuff I may not need.
Do not replace only one battery. It will be killed by the old one and you will replacing both soon after. Always replace both at the same time.

I think you misread my post. I said get the dead SOLAR PANEL replaced. In fact it has been sent back to Zamp by the service folks and waiting for the replacement to arrive. My new batteries were ordered and should arrive about mid-week to install, plural, two 6 volt batteries which when connected in series will make one 12 volt battery...
I had to make a decision on weight vs amp/hrs and just went with T-105s since they fit in the space with little modification and the weight increase is smaller. With 3 100 watt panels I should be good enough and there is always a diesel generator to annoy folks. I was able to get the T-105s for $109 ea plus tax with the core swap. Local pickup near home. Not much more than Costco GC batteries although I have used those in the past. I think the Trojans are worth the few extra bucks to me.
Anyway, you are correct about replacing only one battery member in a battery bank. It is a no-no unless an emergency, normally the whole connected battery bank is replaced at the same time. My house batteries are only a few months old but they are worthless for the task so I'm replacing them with more suitable ones.
BTW, I figured with my track record dropping 20lbs off is unlikely so I went with lighter batteries.

Yes I did read it wrong. I learned the hard way about mixing old and new batteries in my off grid cabin. That mistake cost me about $3000. I like to spread the word.
BTW I have two renogy 100 watt panels self installed on my 06 view. I built the brackets to tilt in two directions and used 3M tape. Ran the wiring down the satellite wire hole and into the bulkhead and then down to the charge controller in wire molding. 2 costco 6V batteries and a trio-l-start complete the system. My home has 3000 watts of panels 8 L-16 batteries and a 3500 W inverter.

I will seriously consider two T1275s when I replace batteries. I believe they will fit.
