E-450 Error Code

I have a 2011 Itasca Cambria 30C on a E450 Super Duty Ford Chassis with 20K miles. My engine light came on and I took it to AutoZone to have them run a diagnostic test. A P0068 Error Code came up. Has this happened to any one before and if so what was your remedy?

Take it to a Ford Truck Center and have them fix it?

Here is the definition of code 68:
  • Error Code P0068 is defined as Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP)/ Mass Air Flow (MAF) Throttle Position Correlation. Meaning, the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) has detected an inconsistency in the positioning of the throttle sensor with the MAF.
Because your vehicle is relatively new, you will have the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor, and not the Manifold Air Pressure Sensor. The cost to simply replace the MAF sensor and the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) would be:
MAF = $147.79 @ Rock Auto for the Motorcraft part
TPS = $51.79 @ Rock Auto for the Motorcraft part
I would recommend that you get the Motorcraft parts, even though they are more expensive; they work better. Also, I am sure that AutoZone can get the parts too. Be sure to leave your battery disconnected while you replace the sensors, which will give your computer time to re-set.

Airflow problems can come in lots of different forms. Things like the sensor going bad or as small as something blocking the correct flow, so we get options. If we are experienced enough, we may be able to look it over and find the problem, but most of us are not going to be int hat group and we can often find it cheaper in the long run to take it to the pros, who may fix it without changing out parts.
Not a good choice but I do take it to the shop more often than I did when it was simple.
My old 53 never had any error codes, but then it also had no AC, power windows or seat belts!

mass air flow sensor on Cambria E450

I had this exact same problem on mine. I found that when I checked the air cleaner that I did not re-install it properly (air tight). When I re checked it and did the re-installation correctly the Air flow sensor worked properly. You have the large big round air filter and it needs to to have several pieces placed together exactly or you get this problem.

That sounds like the problem. Hopefully, this will work for AABear54.
