Durashield Removal

2014 Navion iQ View 24V-has anybody had experience removing this fine ??Durashield product and how did you do it? heads up-our (and possibly your) cab front is covered with a film called Durashield. A while back I took my rig in for maintenance and paid a guy to wash/wax. I asked him to take a hard look at the front end/bumper of my chassis as there were spots on the paint. He said Oh that is durashield. If you are still within the 5 year warranty, they will replace it. Of course, my warranty had run out about 2 weeks previously so called the original Durashield installer for Itasca who said tough luck man, call Wayne at Uglyshield.com in Fort Myers Florida. Well Wayne will take two days to remove the Durashield for $500 or he can send you about $200 of super solvent and promises you two days of hellish work to remove it. PS remove it soon as it damages your finish. So absent the why would anybody put a covering on the front end that does more damage to it in 5 years than 5 years of driving ever could do, has anybody had experience removing this fine ??Durashield product and how did you do it?

A heat gun and patience to remove. Most people decide that it’s not worth reinstalling.

I had it on a car once. I put it on to protect the paint and in the end it cost me more to fix the paint than it was worth.
