We use a 3" foam mattress topper with ours, as well. You might want to be aware of "helping" the Murphy Bed when you raise it, and lower it to some extent, as well. When raising, we make sure that the small headrest part is popped loose, so as not to restrict the bed as it raises. With the Beddy's, the nicest part is that it's all made up and secured. Watch the pivot points, as we're having to take our 2023D back to the factory where they will rebuild the support structure for those pivots. It's a known design weakness. That's why we help the bed raising and lowering.
