Awning Incomplete Retraction

My new View has a single button retraction system for the awning. It started leaving the awning extended 6”. Any suggestions?

Does your awning have the slope adjusting pins? If so maybe you have the left and right pins to far apart. I believe the pins are to be only 1 or2 holes apart. Or is the switch a rocker type and you are rolling the awning back up the wrong way. Or maybe the metal frame work is bent just alittle. Just stuff to look for.

Me too! 2020 View with Carefree Awning. Taking it back for service tomorrow for 2nd time as awning worked ok for 5-6 time then again will not fully retract also about 6-8 inches. 18-20 inches before. Have to get up on ladder remove threaded bolt from end cap and use 3/8 ratchet to bring it in. Seems like the limit switch adjustment is on the right/forward end cap which cannot remove for access without moving the whole awning back. Will find out more tomorrow I hope.

After 2nd adjustment by dealer and driving home, 1st time. Guess what. Would not fully retract 12-18 inches. Called made another appointment. Going to pick it up Wednesday. They adjusted it again. 3rd time. Will it work this time?
