Adding an external source of propane?
I'm In the process of trying to figure out how to connect an external source of propane to my 2014 Itasca Reyo. I tired this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N95Y7PD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but could not fit the connectors to the system because the fittings did not match up with my coach configuration. Besides, that unit has more fittings than I need for my purpose. I cannot find a propane installation diagram on Winnebago's website. I saw diagrams for everything else (wireing, plumbing, etc.), but not propane. My generator runs off propane and because it has it's own regulator, I assumed the generator propane would not go through the coach propane regulator. But when I follow the generator propane line back to the source it is connected to the coach propane regulator, which is fed from the tank. So, it appears that everything on the coach that needs propane goes through the regulator. Can anyone with a propane generator confirm this? Or, by chance, does anyone have a coach propane installation diagram to share?
I would like to keep it simple and just add a T fitting to the tank delivery hose where I could connect an unregulated propane tank to. I do have a tank hose with a high-pressure regulator that I could probably fit to it, but I'm not sure how my coach regulator with react to that? I have seen some pretty fancy propane accessory installations online that appear to be much more than I need. Any words of wisdom are appreciated. TIA, Larry, 2014 Reyo P.
