Hi Tanchar,
I have not had any problem with my 2019 Minnie Winnie 22M with leaks, either around the shower or otherwise. It seems to me that you have two options:
- Find an independent RV Service technician to get a second opinion.
- Get on the roof yourself and carefully inspect all of the self-leveling sealant around everything up there.
A tree branch can scrape-off the self-leveling sealant, and maybe not on the skylight itself, but perhaps from the waste tank vent or the bathroom skylight or from the edge of the flat roof where it too is sealed. Another option would be to carefully apply water and try to reproduce the leak to see from where it comes.
Remember that the self-leveling sealant is the secondary seal, and components are also glued-down with a separate sealant. The skylight actually specifies three different sealants. Maybe the skylight needs to be totally removed and resealed?
Here is the
official sealant guide. I recommend that you only use Winnebago specified sealants, for if they do not match chemically, they will not bond properly. You can order sealants from
Lichtsinn.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
