2020VJ air conditioner problems

Yep, dead air conditioner due to bad compressor. Have heard this is not an unusual problem. Coleman 4500 series, died last September. Told by La Mesa RV that there is a huge backlog. Confirmed it with Winnebago and Airexcel, Coleman’s owner. Have been told there is no replacement. Anyone else with this problem? Have you figured any way around it? Warmer weather is coming soon to the Southwest. Could be a summer killer. Of course Winnebago and other OEMs are still getting new ones while broke down owners are left stranded.

Head north?
Seems like there's no end to the problems these newer rigs are having. If it's not a MB VS30 chassis recall, it's some appliance, or design, or QC issue. These are not inexpensive motorhomes. I wonder if the increased demand due to the current closed borders and other restrictions on travel and escape, are causing them to be assembled in a hurry, with less notice of sub standard parts and workmanship? Get'em out the door as fast as they can, and try to meet the demand?
Thank God they made the cab over bunk mandatory, or I'd probably be on here with a list of fails, as well. I wanted one, but that one item killed the deal for me. IQ or low profile is our must have configuration.

Yep. Some of that going on for sure. But this has more to do with a lousy Chinese supplier and a disregard for hung up owners.

I hear ya. Are there any manufaturers that make a comparable unit, that fits?
Or are you stuck with the WGO "wait in line" repair system?

La Mesa says no other option. But I am going to start working on it anyway.
