2018 Navion 24V Mystery box and wiring

I found this compartment just rearward and between the two front seats. Upon opening, I discovered some unterminated wiring. Any ideas what this is for?

Nope, but I've got one as well. The only rumor I've heard is that it is for a part of a higher end sound system. I don't believe it.

You could a small fireproof safe/box in there to store valuables I suppose.

It’s true. The wiring diagram confirms that a subwoofer is mounted there for the premium sound system. That explains the wiring.

I guess Winnebago needs to offer a premium sound system then. I don't remember any on the options list.

There was a Premium Sound option with JBL speakers and a subwoofer. It's listed under "Cab Conveniences" in the 2017 Navion brochure...
"JBL premium audio tuned 180-watt DSP amplifier
with 5 speakers including subwoofer"

The catch (for me) was that the 9" Screen Infotainment Center was a pre-req for the Premium Sound package on the 2018 Navion. I didn't want the big screen and Rand McNally GPS after reading some fairly negative reviews on it, and so could not get the upgraded speakers and amplifier, either. Not that we are audiophiles, or even listen to music regularly. 40 years ago, maybe.....
