2018 22m pre purchase inspection

Hi there. I have just made a purchase agreement on a 2018 Minnie Winnie 22m E450 motor home. Very excited about this motor home. From all the research, this looks like an ideal mh for what my wife and I want for our retirement travels.

Going in Friday for an inspection, orientation, and test drive. We are previous mh owners, so I have a good feel for what to look for. Unit has 22k miles and looks to be well kept and in excellent condition.

Any particulars to look for on this model? Any feedback on this unit from real Life owners?

Looking forward to joining the Winnie family, assuming everything passes inspection.

Wow; that is a great looking rig; even on an E-450 frame. These rigs are selling for about double this price now, so even if something isn't quite right, you can afford to get it fixed. Excellent find.
Happy travels!

Picked up the 22m today. Great RV in top condition for a used. Many thanks to Kent RV in Kent, Washington. Straight up dealer, had the unit all detailed and we did a thorough orientation.

Super-happy for your purchase. I have gathered some notes on minor modifications for the 22M. May the sun be on your face, and the wind at your back.

Fish Mojo paid $60K, or at least that is for what it was listed.
I paid $74K plus tax & license, which in Washington State took me up to $82K. Just one year later, I am seeing about $114K plus tax & license, and no less.

I’m super confused.? I have a 2019 22M on the E-450 chassis with 11,500 miles. I’m thinking about listing it for sale. What would be a good starting price for me.?

I got it negotiated down a few thousand more. Fortunately, I live in Oregon, so no sales tax. Dealer said if I were a Washington resident, I'd pay over 10% tax.

It does have 22k miles, but absolutely spotless and zero issues. I don't think the coach was ever slept in. Drive home in a storm was fun. Side view camera system wasn't much useful- blurry and hard to see on the small screen, Drove well, but there will be some steering and suspension upgrades coming after I get a few trips and miles on it.

I'm thinking I got a decent deal. Really love the layout for such a small motor home.

I'm lovin' it!

Check your NADA listings and compare to RV Trader ads to similar rigs. What did you pay new and what upgrades have you done?

Make sure you have 75 psi in the front tires, and 80 psi in the rears. Also, with 22,000 miles, I would consider having the tires inspected and re-balanced.

Also, be sure to modify this grease fitting so that you may keep it lubricated.

I've got an appointment at Henderson's in May, going to get the full treatment. I'm in it for the long haul.

My Coach is actually listed for $55k with RV Trader and haven’t got any bites. Am I missing something.? 11,500 miles, no issues. E-450 22M.

The 22M on an E-450 frame is a great rig. Try raising the price to $60K, and give it a month or two. Camping season is coming upon us fast. Also, you could add a listing in Craig's List as well.

You might also consider a consignment sale.

Thanks for the advice. The 22M on the E-450 Chassis is unbelievably stable. I pulled a loaded 24 ft car traIler to Chicago and back and could barely tell it was back there. No exaggeration here.

From my experience, all I can say is make sure that you allocate plenty of time to check the rig out. From the motor side (e.g. air conditioning, leaks below, etc, ).
To the coach side, all things operational?
Take your time, before you take delivery, because once it’s “YOURS”, and you drive it away, it’s way more difficult to get things fixed.

Thanks Wyatt. I had the PDI inspection lists I used copied from the IRV2 forum. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f58/pdi-...tts-13589.html

I went over it it with a fine tooth comb, but still hope for a little luck in the long run.
