2017 Fuse, 23 a Clothes closet hanger support
Hi,
Bonnie and I purchased a 2017 Fuse, 23 a. In thel bathroom is a clothes closet. Bonnie and I are tall people and the closet is short. At the top of the closet are two parallel rods, one is flat steel and the bottom is round.
We tried to understand what the mfg had in mind with this as it effectively shortens the closet.
Does it drop down to compress the clothes???

That's a really interesting 'contraption'. Someone should be along soon that can answer your question.

We prefer this method; If you click the Go Advanced button in your reply and then click on the paper clip icon on the top bar you can upload the picture to your post.

Clothes hanger rod?
How does this work or am I trying to complicate this?

Looks fine.
Now we really need someone to answer exactly what that is and how it works.
On Edit: It's got to be a hanger rod and based on the visual dimensions of the closet positioned so that the clothes would hang front to back.
Maybe the bottom rod is where the hanger hooks would go and the top rod is for weight support and maybe to prevent 'hanger bounce' when underway.

Your answer: that, in my opinion, is a piece of junk. It does pull out - extends - out the doorway if you pull on it but it is very poor design.....not even oriented properly. Many of us Fuse 23A owners simply removed it and installed a standard closet rod, at the proper orientation- parallel to the opening instead of perpendicular. My wood rod is about 2" clearance from ceiling. Screwing end supports into left wall ( head end of passenger bunk ) was easy.....took a little more effort to elegantly mount the right side curtain rod support but not too difficult. Very happy with results.

Hi,
Thank you. I can see that it is ment to do something. Like you and others I will remove and install our own version.
We love the coach but the closet space is small so we will do what we can to make the best of it.
Thank you,
Hope to see you down the road
Frank.

Could the previous owner have installed it? It seems too simple to just answer a clothes rod. Maube anoth fuse owner will recognize it.

Read my earlier response in this discussion. That wierd closet hanger was factory installed. Many Fuse owners have replaced this wacky device with a simple closet rod, as I have.

Also, in our Fuse we obtained nice close fitting brown plastic tubs to fit in the cabinets over the beds....and keep much our clothing in those. My wife decided she preferred using the large drawer under her bed for some of her clothing.

Hi,
I installed a new rod up higher because my wife and I are tall.
