12v in Aspect 27K

Traded an a class for an Aspect 27k. Question in the back where you connect a portable satellite can't find a 12v plug to plug it. What do I not know?

The cable connection may be set to deliver 12v power through the coax. Same as the power supplied to the antenna head mounted booster.

What brand of portable system do you have?

Winegard G2. Unfortunately I contacted winegard and it has to have the 12v. I can get an 12v to 110 conversion. That's probably what I will have to do. Thank you for helping

You can install a 12 volt cigarette lighter socket available at Walmart or any automotive parts store. A convenient place to pick up the 12 volts is from the generator starter. Another option is to run a long 12 volt cigarette lighter extension cord from inside. It is only necessary to initially setup the satellite dish.

There are two wires that hang down from under satellite in connection in the rear compartment. Do you think this is to install a 12v. I tried to get a voltage reading but the wires must be disconnected

Did you get the entertainment system. It would be on the passenger side. I believe that there is a 12v connection there.

Hope I'm not to late. I have a 2013 Aspect 27K and use a Winegard G2. I purchased a Sunforce 5.8 amp AC/DC power convertor from Home Depot online shopping. Delivered free to local Home Depot and cost about $22, includes tax. Winegard wanted about $45 for their converter. I plug it in to the 110 outlet right next to the cable hookup.

I bought a cheap 110 to 12 v converter on Amazon. I plug it in when I need it. Works fine. Winnebago dropped the ball not putting a 12 v outlet there.

Has anyone put insulation in the cabinets over the cab on a Aspect 27k? It's so hot in the cabinets. If so what did you use?

I was thinking of the exact same thing. I was going to contact Winnebago and ask if there would be a problem adding insulation in this area. My concern is holding heat against the fiberglass and causing delamination.
