Travato Whining from 2nd Alternator

I have a 2021 Travato 59KL with Lithium battery, on a Dodge chassis. We just started to notice a loud whining noise from the engine compartment when accelerating and higher RPMs. Dodge says it's coming from the 2nd alternator and not covered under their warranty, but it's functioning fine...just noisy. Should I be concerned?

I would call a/your Winnebago dealer and run it by their Service Department.
It's not normal.

Noise is bad, it's a vibration you can hear!

Noises are funny and the way servicxe works is also funny to the point of madness. One way to get a whining noise is a slipping belt!
At higher RPM there can be more pressure on the belt and that can make it slip.
The fix might be as simple as gets the belt a bit tighter, or it could be that the alternator is getting into more drag due to bearings not quite right.

The maddening point can be when service doesn't care enough to find the real cause and just wants to dump it on something they don't feel interested in checking.

Dodge blames it on Winnebago and they blame it on Dodge?? But finding somebody who cares as much as you?
Good luck!
