NoisyHum - Travato 59GL Pure3

Travato 59GL Pure3 -
I noticed what I considered a loud hum coming from inside the inverter box. With the inverter turned off it was coming from the fans on the DCtoDC converter. Once you're driving and/or doing things it wasn't that noticeable, but at night or during any quiet times I could hear it. Even our neighbor remarked about it during a short ride. I looked up the specs in the Operator'sManual supplement book. According to Volta, the dual fans should be less than 55dB under load. Using an iPhone app I measured 70-75 dB with no load.

I sent an email to Volta and they responded within a couple of days that the fans should be no louder than a computer fan. I made a recording of the fans using the VoiceMemo function on the iPhone then sent them the sound file along with my reading of 70-75dB.

A day or so later I got another email from Volta telling me they wanted to replace the converter. I made an appointment with the dealer and we are currently awaiting our turn in the service queue.
