Good idea! I replaced the rod in our bedroom closet because the OEM one was a bit too short and would come out of the support when fully loaded. I used the 1 1/2" oak rod like you did but I then slipped a section of corrugated sump pump hose over it so that the clothes wouldn't slide on the rod and bunch up. Made the wife happy.

yet another HEY-LAM, look what I did...

the tribute has horrible sun protection for the driver...needs the drop down power shade... so that's not happening soon... I had my tinter do a glare strip...

I'm also having the coach tinted with the heat reducing 70%... windshield and all.....

No new posts lately. Must mean that you are out buying another MH. Ever consider just getting your RV dealer's license?

I think the MH manufacturer's are plotting against us. They want us to go 30 mph up mountains and no more than 75 mph on the level! They put the smallest chassis possible under the coach to save money.

I did come across a real runner once though. It was a Winnebago Destination with a Workhorse UFO chassis with the gas engine in the rear. It had stock twin chrome exhausts coming out the back. The Chevy engine might have been a special version because it was louder than any motorhome that I've ever heard. Wish I'd gotten a picture of it!

The owner claimed that he could go 65 mph up any mountain and he seemed very serious and honest about it. Maybe it was modified with something like this?

Workhorse RV Motorhome Performance Parts - Workhorse Vortec 8.1L Performance Packages - Cylinder Heads, Camshafts, Stroker Kits - Raylar Engineering
