Access to heater - 04 Minnie Winnie

I have a 04 Minnie Winnie, I want to check out the heater but I'm not sure how to open the exterior panel/door. Do I need to remove the chrome exhaust/intake grill ? I took the 4 screws off the bottom already and it's a little loose but not opening. I also put some lube on the hinges.

If I need to remove the grill, do I need a special caulk for behind it ? or will proflex be ok ?

What the manfacture of the heater or post a pic so we can see the door

It's a Suburban. I will try and get a door pic tonight, but it looks like it's a storage compartment without a latch.

That door is hinged like the compartment doors there will be 2 screws on the bottom remove the intake/exhaust vent and the screws at the bottom and it will swing up hold it up with a stick or prop

Thanks, what kinda of caulk is behind the vent ? I have some proflex that I have been using for other repairs will that be ok ? or is it some heat resistant caulk ?

Not sure you will have to see what they used, they might not used any being it's below the floor line
