2022 Travato Awning Bluetooth

I can't find the answer in the manuals. I tried Carefree Connect's instructions. I called the local Winnebago Tech in Rockford, IL. I am trying to connect my 'phone' and/or 'Ipad' to the 2022 Travato awning via BLUETOOTH. The application is NOT finding the awning.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I did get the Air Condition running with Bluetooth.

Where is the Awning CONTROLLER in the 2022 Travato K ?

You did the extend, retract, press retract switch for 3 seconds, release switch?
It will show up as BT12.

I have the same model and installed the app this weekend and all worked as described. Extend the awning about a foot, retract, then hold the retract for 3 to 5 seconds and pair your device. Worked first time for me.

I ended up using the OTHER WAY. Turn OFF Power switch to Awning, Push the Extend and hold 3-5 seconds while turn power back on. BINGO, the Bluetooth worked.. No Power Switch for the Awning? I couldn't find one, so I PULLED THE AWNING FUSE, Push extend, while my wife put the fuse back in (powered up the awning), hold for 3-5 seconds. Good to Go.

Sir I also REPLACED the Sewer hose 'holder' with a much longer version of it (Etrailer, or Camping World). Now it 'HOLDS' the Entire 15' Rhino Hose with connectors I Awesome, I can send you pictures, if you like. 15 minute job once you know 'how' to do it. Took me 45 minutes. Mostly because It is very hard to climb underneath and use twisted arms and hands in that close quarters. Worth it though. Ken Smith

What length of tube did you use to hold 15’ of sewer hose?

John, I used the Valterra EZ hose 50"- 90" adjustable. It is maybe pulled out to 60" roughly. It replaces the original on a 2022 Travato. Same bolt holes on the driver side and just remount the passenger side without the bracket. On the passenger end, Just mount the Valterra bracket to your Travato. I pulled it (length it) as far as I could.

Caution: I did this to my 2022 which had a EZ hose already attached. I Don't know if other years has one or can accommodate one. I hope this helps you. If you want a couple of pics, email me at [email protected]. I don't always get to this forum right away.... Thanks Ken Smith

Hey folks, the Awning synchronizing with Bluetooth, turns out to be 'BAD' batteries in the module on the awning. Changed them out and it works great no matter 'how' I synced the Bluetooth. 2022 Travato (new, new) with bad batteries in the module.

Heard awning may deploy on its own and should pull fuse. Where is it and what fuse number. Better, what else is on that fuse? Tia

The fuse on my 2022 Travato K was WELL MARKED and Only the awning was on the fuse . I didn't check all circuits, lights etc. When I pulled the fuse.

Be careful pulling fused I have found out via contact with Winnebego that often though only one item is on the fuse label that several other items also are fused through that same fuse. The radio/tv fuse on my 2019 Travato was also the fuse for the One Place center and the generator. Go figure.

Emailed Rick Haro with Carefree Awning of Colorado regarding my trouble in pairing the BT12 module. His reply, "Retract the awning and when it comes all the way back in let it close and stop. Once it stops hold the retract switch for 5 seconds this will then out the awning In pairing mode for 5 minutes. Open the carefree connects app on your phone. Hit the 9 squares in the upper left hand corner. You should see a carefree awning in there. Click on it and you are now paired to your awning." Worked on the second attempt!
