2013 ERA 70 A 12v question

New owner here, when I am attached to SP I cannot get our inside 12v system to work . No lights etc. if I start engine or the genset and toggle the 12v switch all work. Shouldn’t the lights etc work when on SP? Must be doing something wrong.

Make sure the circuit breaker for the converter is switched on. Once you verify that, test for voltage at the batteries when plugged in with no other 12 volt loads switched on, if you don't see at least 13 volts the converter is not working. When you start the engine you are getting the 12 volt power from the alternator. It sounds like your coach batteries are dead and the converter is not working. If you can't get the converter working I suggest you put a battery charger on the coach batteries asap since letting them run down below 50% usually causes permanent damage and the longer you leave them in that state the more damage you will have. Yes the alternator will charge them back up if they are any good but alternators are not really intended for full recharging of batteries and will suffer. Alternators are intended to keep the batteries maintained.

Also, shouldn’t the interior light, tv, etc work when on SP?
