Would you buy a 2011 Tour 40BD?
I'm looking at a used 2011 Winnebago 40' Model BD Tour. It is a pre-urea model with low miles, but looks like it's been a showroom model with some minor scratches and dings. I'm not familiar with this model and know that they stopped making it in 2012 (only make 42' tags now). Is there any concerns I should know about this RV? I'm a little concerned that the rear wheels look tight in the wheel wells, but this may be normal. Anyone else have this model and can attest to its ride and handling? Thanks for any advice!

We have a 2007 Tour 40' TD that we bought last year and absolutely love it! I have the utmost confidence in Winnebago, but I am not familiar with that Model.

I would want to know each axle weight and preferably each corner weight if possible before buying.

Is that because the 40' units are low on CCC? This model only has 3 slides and it looks like the weight would be pretty evenly distributed. I don't have time nor the place to have them weighed prior to buying. I usually have scheduled service done at Freightliner in Gafney and have all four weights done there. Does Winnebago weigh their units before shipping them from the factory?

My Journey will dump the air bags and this will make for tight Clearances. Was the air up when you noticed the tire clearance?

The air was dumped when I noticed it. I aired it up and was better, but still tighter to the back of the wheel well than my Monaco. The curb side was tighter than the road side both left to right and in and out (up and down is OK).

I'm talking about the rear wheels, but more interested if anyone has the 40BD Tour and likes it!

We also had a 40TD (an '08) and currently have an '11 42QD. I like either of those floor plans better than the 40BD. The 40BD floor plan looks a bit awkward to me.

We have had two Tours - a 2008 40TD and our current 2010 42AD. Both proved to be great coaches (we live fulltime in our coach) and we experienced few problems. I suspect the closeness of the rear wheels is not a problem and when aired up, the suspension will have plenty of room. We never had any issue with this concern on either coach we have owned.

Unless you plan to use tire chains there shouldn't be a problem. Here in WA we're required to carry chains in the winter if going over some of the passes. Law doesn't say we have to use them, just that we carry them. So I have a set that I throw in after Nov. 1st and take out April 1st or so.
