Yes I am a sprinter source member but don't think I have posted yet. I did get a lot of info from there.

I would be interested in that display you mentioned, does it make camera viewing easier?

here is a pic
it's helps amazingly. I got it from Riverpark but since its passive it should work for any system.
Still have to use radio/gps touch screen for input.

let me add one more
this one helps shows the screen is not blocking my view.
The dancing sharks helps navigate as well.
I used a cup holder mount but had to make a small tweak to get it to work.

Thanks for sharing. I want to mount an 8" tablet for my live data monitoring but that display would really be nice for the cameras, I find the side view cameras not really much help in the daylight as you have to take your eyes off the road to look at the radio, and a quick glance might miss something. Actually I don't have any trouble just using the mirrors like the old days, if you know how to properly adjust the mirrors there are no blind spots.
What mod did it take to use that mount in the dashboard cup holder?

I have a cup holder in that spot and did not want to modify the dash beyond a small hole for video and power cord. I had to modify cup mount to hold the screen as it did quite fit.

I ordered the cupholder mount just now. I noticed your dash mat, is this the one you have? https://www.calcarcover.com/ I was thinking about that one, one of the reviews said it didn't lay flat in all sections, how do you like yours?

I got my dash cover on dash design . They have a RV section but it was not cheap. A few corners have not laid flat yet due to being rolled for shipping. I figured I would IRON it one day but just have not got around to it.

I've been looking at the passive display, your head unit has navigation or does that come with the display? I don't really understand how it works. The one I saw at Riverpark shows a Rand Mcnally GPS on the screen

How did the Sumo springs work out? I have added the Hellwig anti sway and Koni Fds shocks. Front and back. Not trying to build a formula racer here but would like to dampen boat roll and leaning on turns without getting carried away. Thanks

Considering a 2012 Via 25Q. 27,000 miles
$65,000 with new tires.
Lot of money but gas mileage and Mercedes are a plus I think.
Newbie so any Cons I should know about?

Still happy with my 2011 25Q. 65K with 27,000 miles is a decent price if it's in good shape, prices must be coming down. I got mine for $58K with 56,000 miles 2 years ago but for the longest time there were no other comparable ones for sale for under $78K with many closer to $90K. Mine did need a good bit of work which is all finished for now.
You should find out if it has had the AEM performed, the deadline was Oct 1,2022 but they extended it to Dec 31, 2022. It's an emissions related campaign that, once completed, puts several thousand dollars in the owner's pocket and extends the emissions system warranty for 4 years/48,000 miles minimum with certain parts longer than that.
Our mileage is very close to 15. I normally drive 65 and we don't tow. I am leery of towing with it, it seems to work pretty hard without towing. Also don't believe the 20,000 mile oil change intervals, go 10,000 minimum. If you don't do your own maintenance or have a good Indie that works on Sprinter motorhomes be warned that dealer maintenance is absolutely ridiculous on these, and it's not that hard to do yourself. (Working on the engine is 10X easier if you remove the hood and cross bar, it's impossible otherwise)
Also, don't assume because it is a Mercedes it will be trouble free. The OM642 Bluetec is a complex machine and requires careful maintenance and a basic understanding of the emissions system to minimize problems, like DEF quality and fill and DPF regeneration. These engines do not do well with frequent city driving use or extended idling, they need to get on the highway and run regularly.
