Window screens on 2007 Journey 34h

Anyone here who has replaced the window screens on a 2007 Journey? ...mine are not original and don't fit very well...I think the dealer I bought it from replaced the screens with after market or non-original style screens...Any help? Thanks, Karl.

Are they hard to slide? If so dry white graphite put in the tracks may help.

Or Teflon spray lub: https://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Non-St...-1-spons&psc=1

Or is the screen material just loose? You can pull the screen assembly out and redo the screen material. Kind of tricky to get the screen tight though.

The screens in our "new to us" were original, but every one was about 3/4" too short measured horizontally. Only became apparent when the window glass was slid completely open. Also did not have plush seal to brush glass. Allowed entry of critters.

We took the bedroom, dining and driver's screens to ACE and had them rebuilt. ACE saved the round corner pieces and just cut the straight pieces a little longer to fit. We attached the plush seal ourselves. Bye n bye we'll get around to the others

Al is right on with the lube suggestion. Keeping those tracks grit free and lubed (we use silicone spray) is a never ending task..

Yes. ACE Hardware. They are not the cheapest, but around here, for smaller jobs like our screens, more convenient than calling a glass and screen shop. Lowes and Home Depot can do it too.

The plush seal is in the weather stripping section of most hardware stores. Comes in a roll. Various widths, 1/2" most common. Fuzzy on one side, sticky tape on the other.

Get together sounds like a plan. We are heading out to Texas, Tennesse, S. Carolina, North Florida, etc next week. Planning to spend most of summer in Flagstaff area. Then most of October in the Springerville/Alpine area. Not far from Luz!
