Wind sensor location

We just purchased our first coach with an automatic awning with wind sensor. We have a Winnebago Voyage 2007. It has a off on switch under the front compartment for the wind sensor. When we turn it on, the light blinks. According the the manual, that means an error.

Where are the sensors on the awning actually located, so that we can check them?

Thanks!

Typically, in the awning arm. In my case, I have to remove the end cap (near the front on the rig).

Your’s May need to be re-synced. In mine, I took the wind sensor out of the aforementioned head, removed that battery in the sensor, and then put it back—like rebooting a computer.

Then, you’ll need to re-synchronize it to the unit in the coach. Depending on your unit, you’ll have to read up in that.

Could you send a picture of your location when you can? I can't find anything online to show exactly where I should be looking for it.

Now mind you, you this is for a Carefree awning. Not sure what manufacture your’s is, but perhaps this will help...

It’s on the roof on our 2007 Journey, it’s about 2 inches round and about 6 inches tall. It doesn’t work so I am thinking of removing it. From what I have read many people do not trust them to always work.
