What license do I need in California?

OK.. I have a 2018 Winnebago Forza 38w that is just shy of 40 feet, but has a GVWR of 27,910lbs. Class C only goes up to 26,000lbs GVWR. The "Non Commercial Class B" is for house cars greater than 40 feet and less than 45 feet, but does not mention weight at all. The CA DMV online materials are not clear and I also want to make sure I am studying the right materials for the test. Any help in which license would be great. Please don't just send the link to CA DMV website. :-)

Cheers

I believe in Calif you require a non commercial special DL. Class B license required for over 26,000 pounds or 40 feet.

According to this California Driver License Classes page the Basic Class C License is good for "any housecar 40 feet or less."

No Sh*t? You are saying: If I drive in CA...

In my 40' Winnebago at 32,000 lbs max gross weight, or there abouts.... I need a Class "B" license?

What's a Class "B" license?

...Well then. That settles that. I guess I will not be buying $1,000 in diesel fuel or spending $2,000 in on entertainment in CA this summer.

...x 10,000 of us.

Fine by me. That's $20M for you politicians out there!

I never liked SF anyway. Too much poo on the streets! ...And besides, Wala Wala. WA has better wines then Napa and Sonoma.

...And they cost less too!

Bye...bye CA... Soon bye...bye Oregon. Soon bye-bye... Washington.

What a shame!

My diesel engine doesn't like CA fuel anyway!

No, if you live in CA (and have a CA driver's license). Reciprocal agreements mean that if your Driver's License is valid in your home state it is valid in all other states (and Canada as well).
