I drew tired of hauling filters and softener in and out of TOAD. So, I utilized my brother’s creTive mind and amazing welding talents to make this. It straddles the upper hitch and pins thru the 5/8” pin. This way it’s removable and allows you to still use the hitch. I still have to fine tune hose storage and probably have a canvas cover made for it. But when driving I simply hook up a short hose to each side via quick connects to eliminate contamination of either system.
And as a precaution he made a cable out of aircraft cable with loops on both ends. One goes over water softener neck and the other padlocks to main arm of bracket. When locked there’s not enough slack to remove thus providing a little security when away from coach from theft.
Looks nice but I prefer to live dangerously and just drink whatever water is available. It's worked for humans for 2,000,000 years so far.
I do have a few filters though and I did try to find space for a setup like yours but eventually gave up. I never even considered hanging it from the hitch. Oh, wait, I hang my bike back there, that's why it wouldn't have occurred to me.
