This is odd. I wonder why they don't have the 36y on their website? Maybe they just don't have it up to date yet?

They had it on till a short time ago. All mention of the 36Y has been removed spec sheets etc. It must of been dropped even though they did make some 16's and you can see them for sale on Dealer sites, RV Trader and can see You tube videos of them. I guess they weren't selling well enough to keep them. I have not seen any negative press about them. I thought the 36Y was more functional than the Thor Challenger 37gt version of the same basic floor plan. I'll have to check and see if that one is still available.

I just bought a 2016 vista LX 35f. Picking it up in a week. How's your experience with your 35f so far?

It's our first RV and absolutely love it. You'll appreciate the big shower. When we bought, we added a traveler Dishnet sat dish since there are three tv's. Added a mattress topper for more comfort and did some suspension upgrades for a quiet and smoother ride. We purchased this particular RV as a balance of amenities, reputation and price.

We will most likely keep this for 3-5 years then upgrade to a DP.

Couch

We have the Itasca 36y and wondered if anyone else with one thinks the sofa is really uncomfortable? Our daughter says it wasn't very nice to sleep on either.

We have a 36Y and don't have any complaints about the couch to set on or to lay on for a nap. One of the things I liked was a couch long enough to lay on to take a nap.

If you're talking about folding the couch out to use as a bed, I would rate it down around the "horrible" area. It feels like all three sections that make up the bed are a different height and not flat. It really needs a 4" air mattress topper to be something to sleep on, but that's just my opinion.

I wonder if the couch on the 36Y is different from the one on the 35F? I have pulled the couch out ( fold the sectional flat) and have fallen asleep on it with our Sheltie. I find it comfortable with plenty of room.

We just pulled out the existing one and finished replacing ours with a reclining sofa. Didn't need a bed and especially that bed. But you can still sleep in it as a recliner and as a couch as well. Love it.

Did you get a new couch from Winnebago or somewhere else. We like the sofa that has the buttons to recline, it goes totally flat if you need a bed. I think it is standard in the Tuscany 38P model

No I did all my measurements and found a regular residential power reclining sofa that fit in the space and into the coach without too much struggle. I removed the original Flexsteel fold and tumble and sold it on Craigs list in a few days. Had the people at the store put it in for me and I devised the way to secure it down. It's a wall huger and is only about 1 inch out further than the other but it is several inches taller for better neck support and comfort. Just got it put in yesterday and can't wait for the rally next week to give it a real test.

Where did you find the new sofa? Does it recline all the way down to a bed?

Not all the way flat with the 2 recliners but you could sleep on it easy as we made sure it was flat laying on it at least for one person especially with the recliners down. We also have the drop down bunk which is also good for one person. We got it at Rooms to Go they had several that we could get into the coach that were wall hugers.

Here is a link to it. http://www.roomstogo.com/product/Sof...Sofa/11299220/

It has a the same feel as the Flexsteel and it matches the piping trim on the captains chair and blends well with our other upholstery. I know the Itasca and Winnebago's are exactly the same except for the color scheme.

We did have to remove the sides of the valance because it does cover some of the window, the backs are a bit higher.

"We just pulled out the existing one and finished replacing ours with a reclining sofa."

I was wondering if there is much of a weight difference between the original couch and the new one you installed?

Thanks

I'm not 100% but I think they are about the same +- 50lbs. The one coming out was a fold and tumble bed and had more stuff that unfolded. The new one does not but it is taller.

36Y help

To those of you with a 36Y. How do you turn that bright light over the front sleeper bed off??? I can't find the switch. Also, is the chassis battery under the stairs? I can't open that compartment, so I'm wondering if they put it somewhere else.

Battery is under the step. We couldn't open our compartment either. Had it in to the dealer and they got the step out and trimmed it narrower so it was easier to get in and out.

I haven't been in my MH for 2 months(in storge) but the switch is on the left, under the window if I recall correctly. It is a rolling switch. I think it is in the manual, we had the same problem.
