Vista 27n

I just picked up my new 2014 27n. Drove it home being buffeted by 30-40 mph wind gusts, but I made it safely. I do have a question.

I can't locate either the water heater bypass valve or the fresh water tank drain valve. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Richard

I have a 35B but my water heater bypass valves are in the kitchen have to remove a couple of drawers to get at it. See where the water heater is on the outside and the bypass valve will be on the water heater inside the coach.
Of all the spots my fresh water drain valve is in the power cord compartment. But I also have grey and black water tanks there. If your water tank is under your bed it might be there.

I'll check it out. I'm disappointed those locations weren't pointed out during the walk through.

whitegs, Looks like the fresh water tank drain valve is in the back of the fresh water service bay and the water heater bypass valve should be accessed through the rear storage compartment. It is low on the back of the water heater.

I have a 2013 27n. The water tank drain is in the compartment with the elect./cable/ hose connections. The water heater bypass is located in the rear compartment . You have to remove the metal cover over the water heater.

Thanks David. I couldn't believe it when the user manual said I had to take the mattress off the bed to get to the water tank drain.

Now has anyone figured out how to read the dashboard instruments (gas gauge, speedometer, etc.) during the day? Hanging on to the steering wheel for dear life in gusting wind on my maiden voyage, even with the headlights on and the wheelie thing turned up to the brightest setting, I couldn't read the dashboard. I guess I need to carry a little flashlight.

Richard.

I have a solution for the dash lights. Look at the posts in the links below.

I installed a switch for the lights on the lower left panel.

Thanks everyone. I found the valves. I'll try to find the led strip for the dash.
