Yes, I read your comment about a "wimpy" connection repaired by a mechanic (or is it someone's else comment?).
Also, someone mentioned that module should be visible from the passenger front basement opening where the breaker fuses are located.

I did not see anything like a solenoid with red and black 8 gauge wires running from and to it... Photos someone please

I am truly puzzled about this missing feature on my rig.

Thanks for sharing!

I found the solenoid it is in the compartment behind the breakers above the butane tank. I pulled the panel and there is a large bundle of wires in there. I was a little bit afraid off pulling on the wires as it is a very tight area only assessable thru the small opening. I plan on looking into this and see if I can get my meter probes in to check the voltage on the solenoid which I can see and also the battery disconnect relay. When you remove the panel you see a bunch off wires that do not move very easily. Wish me luck I will probably end up taking somewhere to get it fixed.

You inspired me to go further into investigating... I shall be back within an hour with photos of what I saw... or did not see!

Vista 26HE charging relay?

Ok, here's what I saw when I removed the fuse-breaker panel over the propane tank:

First photo would be the electronic (black) module that evaluates the needs of the House batteries to receive the charge provided by the alternator

Second photo would be the relay(with the schematic print on it) that activates the solenoid (3rd photo)

Third photo would be the solenoid (silver canister) that allows the flow of current to the House battery... until the electronic module orders the relay to switch back to Engine battery circuit.

Make sense?

Now what is wrong with mine

Thank you Tricolor. I found all the relays and solenoid but I think your explanation is very helpful. I wonder if the coach batteries have to be at a certain low level before the control module switches over. when I first noticed mine I had two batteries that needed replaced which I did. Maybe I need to let them drain off some voltage before I try it again. I work in the HVAC Control Industry area and we have controls that only activate when there is a command for them. I will try this I see maybe save some money. Again Thanks everyone for your response.

The batteries in my coach went low on power and they are always on shore power. I removed the batteries and tested the specific gravity. The cells were all good. I cleaned all terminals and made sure the batteries were fully charged. I would like to know how much voltage others have on their batteries when connected to shore power.

I keep my 26HE plugged in 24/7 while in storage and the batteries stay fully charged. I replaced the stock converter/charger with a 4 stage converter/charger so I could do that.

Mine in on charge 24/7 to, but I happened to notice that I had lost power. Now that I recharged the batteries and made sure all the terminals are clean, I find the batteries are at 12.65 volts.

For some reason mine alway show about 12.57 when fully charged. Maybe I'll try what you did and see it it improves. Otherwise, they are about 3 years old and have full water that has never needed additional water to date.

I have searched sites that state a fully charged battery is 12.65 volts.

Ditto here Tricolor. my Coach batteries, when fully charged, sit around 12.7-12.9 range. On my 2013, 26HE, the Chassis engine will charge the coach batteries regardless if they are switched on or off. There must be a mixup in the wiring or something is not working quite right.

We dry camp more that we do full hook up. I just took the 26 in for a solar panel install. My hopes are that the panel will keep things topped up in between weekend trips and give me some extra battery time when in the camp ground. Before I would use shore power when him to keep everything up to snuff and ready to go when needed. MY next step is to swap out the two 12volts (OEM) for a pair of golf cart batteries. That should give me another 40 amps to play with.

Made a ten foot ramp for our ten year old Bull Mastiff. She weighs over 90 lbs, so you just can't pick her up and put her in the motor home.i need to cover the ramp with indoor outdoor carpet. The the training begins. This is our only hope for her to travel.

This is my second try at a ramp for my dog. It is 2 feet wide and 12 feet long. It fold to 6 feet and can be stored in the rear storage area. It is heavy, but worth the effort. Our pet is now able to travel again.

I should add this picture showing the ramp. Any other pet lovers out there with a ramp, I would like to see their ramp. I just need a way to keep the mosquitos out when I have the ramp up.
